The St. Martin’s Festival in the city of fairs and sparkling wine is always a truly special experience. This year again, we will come together to celebrate the rich winemaking tradition and heritage of our region – join us on Saturday, November 8, 2025, on Kerenčičeva ulica, between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m .
We have prepared a lively cultural and entertainment programme:
🍷 Christening of the new wine,
🍷 Market stalls,
🍷 A rich selection of wine and culinary delights,
🍷 St. Martin’s hike among the vineyards.
Join us for the St. Martin’s Hike across the Radgona Hills. We’ll gather at 9:00 a.m. at Trg svobode in Gornja Radgona (the square in front of the library). The route will take us Gornja Radgona–Hercegovščak–Police–Črešnjevci–Norički Vrh–Gornja Radgona, covering about 12 km. The hike will be led by guides from Planinsko društvo Gornja Radgona. In case of rain, the hike will be cancelled.
At the Špital Museum, you can listen to the story of the local vineyard workers and see the tools our ancestors used in winemaking. For a bit of fun, you can even try your hand at virtual grape picking and pressing.
As befits such a celebration, the wine cellars on Jurkovičeva ulica will also be open for guided tours – where, as the poet Manko Golar once wrote, the “Radgona gold and silver” are kept.
